Does your place of worship actively welcome military and veteran families? Do you reach out or do you hold back, unsure of what to expect or how to make that connection? Do you have someone in your church designated as a military outreach coordinator? If you have a church counselor are they trained to deal with issues associated with military service?
All good questions but how many can you answer? Military service, especially combat, can change a person to the point that they have a difficult time getting back in touch with their faith, their friends and their family.

Do we need a sixty-eight billion dollar (per year) federal bureaucracy to regulate local school systems? Why would we assume that these bureaucrats have a better grasp on our children’s educational needs than the local school board and those who actually are tasked with teaching them?
